Ok...The following story has been the biggest change/adjustment in our life recently. Sophie has always been an incredible sleeper. She would go down at 7:30/8 and sleep until 7:30/8. Well, as she has gotten older, getting her down quickly has become quite a challenge. She also started waking up during the night. At one point, she was getting up nearly 5 times a night. She would not cry, act hungry, or be upset. She would just walk into our room and softly say, "Mommy. Daddy." It was just terribly annoying and disruptive. I started to notice that evertime she got up, there would be a train going by. Well, we put a humidifier in her room and it took care of the problem immediately. Thank goodness! Now her thing is when you put her down at night, she will stay there for a few minutes and then gather everything from her bed and camp out in front of Halle's door. She wants to get in there so badly, but we have a knob guard on the outside so she can't get in. Thank goodness, again! Last night, I had it! I redirected her back into her room several times (no talking...the pediatrician says our perserverence will pay off...hmmm...) and she kept walking back out, gathering EVERYTHING off of her bed, and laying outside of Halle's door. I had papers to grade and things to get done downstairs. She wasn't bothering anyone, so I decided to let her be. At 10:30, Josh and I decided to head upstairs for bed.
This is what we saw outside of Halle's door...NO SOPHIE!
We looked in her room...NO SOPHIE!
We looked in our room, and here was Sophie!
That is hilarious! They do the darndest things some times.

ReplyDeleteOh that is so cute! Loved the story and pictures :)
ReplyDeleteThat is GREAT! Sometimes you know you have to be a "parent" when they do these things - but then it's just TOO funny and you have to laugh!
