Oh my gosh, Is this girl on Speed????

Ok...Halle has turned into a Speed Demon! She is tearing through the house as fast as she can! She crawls so fast and huffs, puffs, and laughs as she is doing it. She says, "hhh hhh hhh hhh" does that sound like panting?! :) And slaps her hand on the floor and takes off as fast as she can ready to get into something else. I can't even turn my back for one second before she's off to get into something else. She has taken up to 3 steps. She stands so firm on her own a lot. She lowers herself to the ground very slowly and carefully. She will be 11 months on Nov. 20th. I would be willing to bet that she will be walking before her 1st birthday, but you never know.
(Sorry the picture is a bit fuzzy)???
We are dog sitting for Josh's parents. They are in California, and we have the honor of caring for Ned! For those of you who don't know...Ned was first Josh's parents' dog. Then he bit most of the grandkids (they all deserved it!) So, when Josh was a bachelor, he took Ned (the perfect dog for a single guy!) Well, I inherited Ned through marriage. He was fine with us until we had Sophie. Once she started crawling, he went back to live with Josh's parents and has been with them ever since. He is a great dog, but he is horrible with kids. He is like a cranky old man trapped in a dog's body. He has been so patient with the girls and has been spending a lot of time sleeping in our room or out in the garage. Well, the girls just love him. Not a good thing! Halle will tear after him, smiling, and panting her sounds she makes when she crawls. I was a little nervous trying to capture this picture. I said, "Halle don't move!" But, I just had to get one because she loves Ned so much!
Ned, you've been so patient. I know you want to go back to Warren where it's peaceful with a bunch of retired people! It's the perfect town for you. Our place makes you nervous. :)

  2. Must be something about Cocker Spaniels - I know SO many that bite! I understand about the old cranky man syndrome - if Moose is laying near a door and you have to open it, HE WON'T MOVE! You have to push him AND the door open!

  3. We had a cocker spaniel that would bite people. Couldn't have kids around him at all. He got a little better when he moved in with Shane and I....CRAZY.
