Pool Babe

My job share partner invited us over to her home to swim. She has an in-ground pool.

We all had a blast. I captured this beautiful picture of Sophie and her Daddy.

I think that Sophie looks so beautiful and OLD!

She is getting so big and older acting. I can't get over how much she is changing and maturing. I have seen a major difference over the past month. A lot of the behaviors have happened all on their own without me asking specifically. Now, it makes me realize that months and months of consistency really pays off.

Some examples:

• She gets herself dressed each morning.
• She gets out of the bath at night and gets her pajamas on by herself without being asked.
• She brushes her teeth alone. I (of course) have to do my check and brush-up.
• Her pretend play is amazing.
• Her fits have dwindled. Of course, she still has some.
• When I tell her "no", she accepts it the first time a lot more often.
• If she bumps herself or gets hurt, she doesn't cry right away. She will say, "I'm ok" or just quickly move on with things. The other night she scraped her toe on our neighbor's porch. She looked down and it (to check for blood I'm sure), and then she said, "I'm good." :)
• She will wake up in the morning and just do something in her room or go downstairs and lay on the couch. She doesn't come and get me.
• Her word choice is so much older sounding. Long sentences.
• She and Halle play so wonderful together.

I am sure there and many more things, but that is enough examples for you.

She is blossoming into such a wonderful young lady.
