It's a good thing that Halle has Sophie to look up to and learn how to be a girl. Sophie is ALL girl and Halle is not. If I had a boy first, I think that Halle would be total Tomboy. Halle is in to getting her hair done now. She opens the drawer that has all the hair things and say, "igtails, igtails". It's so cute. She also LOVES to brush her teeth and wash her hands. Well, she really just loves to play in the water and make a mess. She doesn't get much teethbrushing done. And when I try to do it better, she closes her lips so tight.
I love it when we don't have anywhere to go in the morning so we can spend lots of time getting ready and dolling ourselves up.
Like I said, Sophie is all girl. She wants her nails painted, lipstick on, and she must have sunglasses. I looked back they other day and they were on her head! Like I do. She also wears a dress most days. Well, that is when she has clothes on! :) ha ha.... for all of you who harass me for my naked kids.
I just love having girls!
I think you are right about having an older sister. After I read this post I was so excited to put Samantha's hair up in pig tails and she would not even let me get close! I tried about 5 times then just gave up. Maybe I need to drop Samantha off with your girls for a couple days! :)
ReplyDeleteAre girls just born with some of this though? Anna is so into purses and shoes that it is crazy. Ian isn't and we all know I am not. Maybe she is trying to change me. She also loves brushing her teeth to...I mean playing in the water.
ReplyDeleteSophie would spend all day playing dress up and baby dolls. It's amazing how she's all girl. She wants to be a Mommy and a princess when she grows up, she says.
ReplyDeleteThis is so different from mornings with my boys... it cracks me up. We are outside playing tee ball and swatting at mosquitoes. I want a little girl to experience the "pampering ourselves" mornings. How fun!
