I Love Home

Last night on the way home from the cheerleading competition, Sophie said another profound statement I had to share. :)

We were all just kind of chilling and the car was quiet. All of a sudden, Sophie says, "I love home. Mommy, do you know why I love our home?" I said, "Why?" She said, "Because I can lay on the couch and watch a movie." I said, "Yes, you can!"

I thought that was so precious. I knew she was tired and she was looking forward to going to a place she knows is warm and comforting where she would get to lay down and rest after our busy day.

Now, we didn't watch a movie. We went straight up the stairs and started our bedtime duties. They were both sound asleep, in their warm beds, side by side shortly after we arrived home.
So, why do you love home? Share!

  3. So cute. After we come home from a long day away, I realize how much I DO love home. Home isn't so much the house for me, but it is my family. I love when Nathan asks if we can cuddle on the couch. I love when I can hear Nathan quietly playing and using his imagination (like right now). I love when Anthony gets home from work and all three of us are thrilled to have him home. :)

  4. I am appreciating home a lot right now because we were away from it so much this summer and then on our vacation. I love to look around our house and see how we have turned it into a home with all of our own little touches... marks on the walls, art work on the fridge, decoratations we have shopped for, thing we have fixed. And then topping that off with laughter and family fun filling it up... what a feeling!

  5. I love home because it's where we can sit back and be ourselves. We can be happy, we can cry, we can be angry or we can just sit back and relax. I love it when my home is filled with little, innocent giggles and adult giggles all at the same time. There truly is no place like home!
