There was a balloon bouquet at the entrance that each guest walked through to enter the party. I took each girl's picture with Sophie by the balloons and sent a print with their thank you note.
Grandma Margy knows how to throw a tea party! She's been waiting since the day she was born to do it. I finally let her, 5 years later.
The guests enjoyed apple juice in their tea cups.
Beautiful Sophie had a fantastic princess birthday cake.
I tried to tell Sophie she could only invite 5 friends. She was concerned that she would hurt people's feelings if she didn't invite ALL her friends. So, I had to budge a bit (still not letting her invited ALL due to space). She has so many friends from school, church, and the neighborhood.
from left to right: Mason (a cousin), Illyanna (a neighbor), Sophie, Quinci (preschool/church), Sydney (a neighbor), Olivia (preschool), Tatum (a neighbor), and Maria (a neighbor).
It was a drop off party, and all the guests did fabulous.
There was one guest that got kicked out - Halle! Josh was in attendance as the bouncer. She was asked to leave the party when she had a melt down over the color of frosting and sprinkles on her cookie. :)
Happy Birthday, Sophie!! What a wonderful 5 years we've had with you. We hope for many more to come.
Love your comment about Halle's "bounce" from the party....I was looking at the group photo wondering where she was during this fabulous party! I should've known there was more to this story....
ReplyDeleteLove the pics!
