In 6 days, Ian will be 2 months old! I missed a 1 month update. :) The girls have a friend over playing and I am currently caught up on my house work, so I thought I'd hurry and update you all. I thought it was time for some new pictures, so I just took these for you. Isn't he getting so big? We had a preschool Family Fun Night last night and I carried Ian around in our Baby Bjorn. Everyone commented on how big he was - and so alert. I think he looks a lot older than what he is. I am guessing he's near 12 pounds.
He is smiling a lot and cooing. He loves looking at fans and lights on the ceiling. He really likes Sophie and Halle continues to irritate him. :) She loves him to "death" we say! I will say, "Halle, gentle!" and she'll say, "But I love my baby boy. I just love my little buddy. He's so precious."
At 2 months:
Personality - he is such a good baby. I really don't have much to say other than he just goes through our day with us. He gets toted around everywhere and just goes with it. At times, he will get yanked out of his bed from a nap and put in his carseat in order to run where we need to - school, ballet, or tennis. The life of a 3rd child is a crazy one!
Eating - he is an awesome eater. He is nursing every 2 1/2 to 3 hours during the day. I start his day around 7:30. He will stay awake for no more than 1 hour and he's ready to sleep again. That's the routine - Eat, Awake, Sleep all day long. Fun fun!
Sleeping - He takes several naps throughout the day in his bed or carseat. I lay him down awake - after I notice him yawning or starting to fuss and he goes right to sleep. He's ready for bed around 8ish. He fusses more at this time than the whole day combined. Once he finally falls asleep, he's out. The past 2 nights he has slept a 6 hour stretch! Pretty good for only 7 weeks old. So, he eats at 2am, then 6ish, then I go and wake him up between 7:30-8 to start his day with us. I have been staying up after the 6am feeding to work.
Big Events - He went to church for the first time at 6 weeks.
He went to Dr. Lee (chiropractor) to get adjusted at 7 weeks. I'll touch more on that later.
He had his first bath at 6 weeks. Don't worry, I sponge bath him daily. :)
He finally got to enjoy some time outside on the warmer days here in Indiana.
