I am not one to usually say bad words, but I have a funny story that I just had to share....
The other day I was walking out of the store. There was a toddler - probably 2ish - whining because she wanted to ride in a cart that had a car. The mom was saying, "come on!" The toddler continued to whine and ask, "Why?" The mom said (right in front of me), "Because I'm not pushing that big ass thing around just to get some stuff to make tacos!"
I just about lost it! First, I couldn't believe she said that. Second, I couldn't believe she said it
in front of me.
I got to my car and just sat for a few minutes with my mouth dropped open. Then I just started laughing. I laughed the whole way home.
I can't wait for that poor little girl to say in preschool one day, "Hey teacher? Can you move this big ass chair so I can get my dolly?

ReplyDeleteMy slips come when I stub my toe or hurt myself! Whoops! Maybe she just had a whoops moment too! Ella and I were in Walmart the other day and she was looking at something and said; "What the hell?" I tried to hide my laughter and asked her what she just said. She looked at me sheephishly and said; "What in the world?" I don't use this phrase and neither does Ben which is why it was funny. I asked her if she slipped - she got embarrassed and and said yes. I don't think she'll say it again! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd you know she will...eventually! Don't you just wish you could be there to hear it?
