Monarch Butterfly Field Trip

We had a fabulous morning today! We got Sophie off to 1st grade, picked up some friends and headed to an area county park for a Monarch Butterfly Activity. We walked to find and count eggs and caterpillars on milkweed. Halle found the first caterpillar - and there were even a few adults looking!! When we returned to the park office, we got to release two monarch butterflies! It was an awesome time for the kids.
The kids LOVED releasing the butterflies!
Ian, Marin and Halle were very gentle with the butterflies!

After we released the butterflies, we enjoyed a packed lunch and then a brief hike in the woods!

The kids did awesome!

Thank you, Tyson and Marin for joining us!
