Well, as I sit down to finally get caught up with my blogging, I have a feeling you can hear a sigh coming from me. I am finally feeling like I am getting control over things again. Holy Moly, it was just a whirl wind of parties, preparing, rushing, and here we are! Done with it all and getting ready for Sophie's 3rd birthday! I made myself do Halle's birthday post before my Christmas one. It's only fair. It happened first. :)
We celebrated her birthday on December 16th and had a wonderful day that included family.

The menu included a variety of appetizers, drinks, and cupcakes and vanilla ice cream for dessert. I made the cupcakes and cupcake bouquet! :) I love her guest book. It's a picture with a white matting that everyone signed. It hangs in her bedroom.
I teared up when we sang "Happy Birthday" to Halle. She just put her head on my shoulder and took it all in. Very calm and a little overwhelmed.
She had a fun time opening her presents. Although, I am not even sure if she actually opened a present on her own. Sophie loved opening the gifts!
I let her enjoy a cupcake, of course. I did scrape off the frosting and took it away after a few bites. :) But, those who know me well could probably have guessed that.
Overall, it was simply a great time with family and reflecting on our first year with Halle.
The family made her give a speech after she blew out her candle, and she stated, "It's been the best year of my life!"
I love the cupcake bouquet! How unique. Looks like Halle had a great day:)
