Well, we are surviving! I have officially told my principal that I will not be returning next year to teach. I will be staying at home raising our children. :) I know that will be a change, but we will stay focused and on task! :) I am a very "on-task" person, and I will adjust to the change. I am actually a little nervous about it, but I know that I know that I know that is it what I need to do for our family. With Josh moving forward and up in his career, I have to be here maintaining the peace.
Josh is doing very well in his career, and I know in my heart that there can't be 2 breadwinners in the family.
The girls are doing great considering they see us for a just a few hours during each week night.
They are almost always both asleep when I leave for work each day. How sad is that? It truly breaks my heart. However, we are so blessed that their Grandma and Grandpa are here to greet them when they wake up. How blessed are we???????????
I will post some events they are experiencing......
The next couple of months are survival mode for us.
I LOVE teaching, but I am so excited to take a break and focus on my family. I feel that I give all of my energy to my 25 students, and then I do what is "easiest" 5 nights out of the week. I am so exhausted when I get home. Somehow, dinner miraculously appears on the table. ???? I plan really well. :) (I am a planner) And then I sneak out to my car and get the bag of papers and administrative stuff that needs to get done before the next day. When does my husband come into the picture??? Oh yeah, he's already asleep by this time. The coffee gets made before the next day, and our clothes get laid out... We get up and the whole day starts all over again! Summer.... We couldn't see you fast enough!
Hang in there! You are doing a great job and have raised a healthy, beautiful family so far. You must be doing the right thing...working full time or not. I know you appreciate all that you have! I love you.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. This is my life as well. Luckily for me, Shane is home to do some of this for me until about 8:30 p.m. when he goes to work. Hang in there. There is light at the end...
