So, I checked when I wrote that Halle climbed out of her crib (I'm a little behind in blogging). =) It was the beginning of September. She stopped doing it for a few days and then went right back to it, so we set the toddler bed up around September 9th or so. She adjusted to it just like Sophie did... great. I read her 3 books, sing her 3 songs, rock her for a bit, and then lay her down. She layed right down and didn't get out. She never got out for a few weeks, and then she started letting herself out of her bedroom. I put those crazy doorknob things on her side and she still can get out. This kid is sooo coordinated! It isn't really a problem. I just have to stand there every now and again and hold the doorknob. She doesn't cry. She just yells, "Mommy?" She gives up after a few yells and crawls into bed.
Her sleeping habits were not affected. She has continued sleeping the same amount of time. 11-12 hours at night and 2 hours for a nap.
I think she looks pretty comfy!
This was her first nap in her new bed. =)
So, another transition under my belt! Just waiting for the next one, whatever that may be. It's always something! =)
I love looking in on my kids when they are asleep. So cute and innocent. She already looks so big in that bed. I cannot believe she will be two pretty soon.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear the transition went well that is a huge relief for you guys.
A lot of people have commented on how BIG she looks! Am I going to have to move her out of that bed soon???
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweetie! Love her.
ReplyDeleteAnna did well to. She does all the same things though. We were having more problems getting her to sleep through the night all of the sudden than climbing out. She now sleeps good again but the first few nights I think she slept on the floor after climbing out and crying at the door. Shane and I decided at least she was sleeping. Nothing in her room she can hurt.
