A Thanksgiving Reflection

As Thanksgiving approaches, I start to think about what I am thankful for. The "normal" things come to my mind immediately. They seem so normal and non-creative, but I am quickly reminded that all of the things I think are so normal really aren't for a lot of people in the world. The one thing I am the most thankful for is the freedom to worship God freely. I am thankful for the peace that lives inside me because of that relationship and faith in God. I am thankful for a husband who works his butt off for me to stay home and raise our family and that after 10 years he is still the love of my life and best friend. I am thankful for my 2 healthy beautiful daughters. I am thankful for our church and all the love and support we have there. It's abundant! I am thankful for our families and all the love they shower upon us. I am thankful for all of our friends and the great times we have together. They are memories that will last a lifetime. I am thankful for the roof over our heads, heat, plumbing, and a beautiful neighborhood. As my list continues, I KNOW how incredibly blessed we are and I truly write this entry as a prayer and reflection to thank God for all that we have. I promise I will not forget all that You have given to us and I will keep You at the front of my mind during the holiday madness!

  3. It is so neat that you actually took time to reflect on all the things we really are thankful for. It seems things get so hectic and the true meaning of the Holidays is lost. Thanks for reminding me to remember the true meaning! You're a special person:)
