This will be my final entry telling the story of our Winter Getaway. :)
Well, once we had skiied and explored Traverse City, we thought we were done and on our way home. Josh's boss had invited us to his lake house, but we really didn't think we would have the desire to go at the end of our trip. Well, we did decide to go at the last minute. However, we had some time to kill because they were skiing at Crystal Mountain for the day. So, we started traveling from Traverse City towards Pentwater, MI. Lundington, MI was right on the way and we were sure to find a couple of major attractions.
One recommended spot was a brewery restaurant. I forget the name, but it was great. We enjoyed a freshly brewed beer together and ate a tasty lunch before we headed out to the beach!

So, I thought the beach was SO COOL covered in snow!

It was absolutely wonderful walking along the beach in the winter. What a unique experience!
The lighthouse in Ludington is famous. We walked to whole way out to it. It was SO FAR!!!
I seriously thought I was going to die! :) I felt like I was on the Titanic. We were laughing so hard. It was a great experience to have with each other. I think these crazy times really bring out the friendship that you and your husband have. Or should have! :)
Once we made it, we made sure to take some pictures.
The walk there was not too bad, but the walk back was so much harder. The wind was blowing right in our faces. Josh took off his gloves and let me use them. How sweet! I left mine in the car.
I was so happy to make it back to land without dying. :) This is me at the end of the lighthouse journey. It was definitely an experience I will never forget. I don't think I could've done it without my husband. I needed a man to make sure I would be safe. :)
When we finished in Ludington, we headed to Pentwater to spend the night with Josh's boss, wife, and 2 boys. It was a fun night of games and talking. We got up the next morning and headed home.
What a wonderful trip!
Thank you MOM for watching the girls!! You are the BEST.
We are looking forward to our next getaway.
Ya'll are very brave venturing out there in the snow! So fun.
