Love

"Love is not a feeling, love is a behavior!"

This is one topic our pastor addressed on Sunday during his sermon. People stop "feeling the love" and they throw in the towel. I couldn't help but mention 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. I am sure most of you reading this had this scripture read at your wedding! We did! It's quite humbling to read it again and be reminded of the vows we took.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."

How does that make you feel? Wow!

I know there are plenty of times I get angry with the way my children are acting or rude and impatient with my husband.

I agree with our pastor when he said, "Love is NOT a feeling, love is a behavior."
Respond to those you love with this in mind and know that some days are easier than others. Just don't give up.
