So, what do you all think of Moon Sand? Have you played with it before?
It's sand that molds well and feels cool. However, the mess is enough to make me hide it for a few months.
My sister in law sent the girls gifts for Christmas and they were all wrapped when they arrived. I handed them out to be opened and I could tell by the shape of the package that it was Moon Sand. I looked at Josh and said, "Oh great! Moon Sand!" :) I later found out that she sent it as a joke on me. How mean! She knows the mess it creates. :)
The girls made a birthday cake.
This is my floor at the end of our fun. :( This is when I take a deep breath and try to remain calm.
We'll see you in a few months, Moon Sand.
Oh my goodness I totally agree with you about the mess!! I got it for the kids for Christmas not knowing the mess that awaited and ours is now hidden in the laundry room. :) I do not mind it every once in a while but it always does leave a big mess.
ReplyDeleteWe've played with it once, and then I decided to save it for outside this summer. One thing that did work well is putting it in a shallow tray or pan. Greyson was able to keep most of it in there! Not my favorite product!
ReplyDeleteNathan played with it once, and it has never made its way out of the closet again. :) It got everywhere even though I asked him to keep it in the pan! I think I will let him play with it again when it is warm enough to take it outside too. It is a neat concept, though!
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you are all feeling the same way! :) It's a good idea to put it in a pan and OUTSIDE! I will break it out again this spring/summer - outside. Every time the girls eye it in the closet, I quickly get their attention on to something else. :)
ReplyDeleteI am on the NO MOONSAND train too! Can't stand the stuff...if I wanted sand in my house I'd go to the beach! Outside sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteMy granddaughters are so beautiful!!!!! We are so blessed.
ReplyDeleteLove you,
Nena
