"All that I am or hope to be I owe to my angel mother. I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life."
(Abraham Lincoln)
This quote was in my MOPS newsletter this week, and it really touched me. I truly believe that praying with and in front of your children is more powerful that you can imagine. I know this because of some things that have come out of the girls' mouths. They will consistently say things like, "God is with us" when they get scared. Sophie started talking about tornadoes tonight (for some reason) and she said that if it ever happened at our house she would just pray that God would get in the middle of it. She said, "He is always with us." My children have been such an Earthly example to me of the Holy Spirit. They aren't afraid or ashamed to share their faith - like some adults are. I am so proud of them! I know that praying in front of them and simply talking to God throughout our days has made such an impact on their lives.
I hope to be that "Angel Mom" like Abraham Lincoln had. I hope my prayers and example stick with my children their entire lives.
This quote really stayed with me as well.
