It's 1:45 pm on Thursday afternoon. I just finished tidying up the downstairs and as I am walking up the stairs I exhale and whisper to myself, "Thank God for Friends". I say this because Tobie, a wonderful friend and neighbor, invited Sophie over to play with Sydney while Halle naps. We are doing drop off playdates more and more now that the girls are getting so grown up. It's been great giving each other some alone time.
The house is quiet. Halle is asleep, and I am getting ready to snuggle myself into bed for a little afternoon nap myself.
Thank you, Tobie. You are such a special friend.
And - Thank you, God, for putting such special people in my life.
I might have to steal your "drop off playdate" idea. What a great thing... and so nice for both of you!
