6 years ago today....

I don't know what it is about this birthday, but I've been doing so much reflecting on where we were 6 years ago.

Our first baby was born... I got to nurse for the first time - something I dreamed about doing - which ended up being SO difficult.

We held our baby girl, Sophia Adahleen, for the first time.

We stared at her and cried.

We were learning everything for the first time.

She was out of my womb...

No more feeling her move inside me - I missed that terribly.

Her face was perfect - everything about it.

She had a full head of dark hair - beautiful skin - a perfect profile... it's still perfect.

The time is slipping away. 6 years old already? How can this be?

So - this is what I'm telling myself.

ENJOY THE MOMENTS.

ENJOY THE 24/7 CALLS FOR SNUGGLES.

ENJOY THE CHUNKS OF CHAOS WHEN EVERYTHING STARTS TO FALL APART.

PRAY.

TEACH.

LIVE YOUR LIFE THE WAY YOU WANT THEM TO LIVE THEIRS.

LOVE SOME MORE.

Someday, this will be over.
