Welcome to our HOME!

This post is not intended to talk about our "home" really. It's to share my idea of dealing with the winter "blahs". :)
I really struggled emotionally on Monday, January 4th, 2010. You know when you ask people "How are you?" and the say, "I'm surviving." Well, that's about how I felt. My heart was beating and I was breathing, but my fire was gone. When Josh got home from work, we worked through some things. He is such an amazing, Godly man with great wisdom and insight - and motivation. He pretty much kicks you in the butt and tells you to get over it. YOU ARE BLESSED! STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THINGS! :/ But he's usually right.

So, my idea - for Jan, Feb, and March (in my opinion, the roughest months of the year). I want to visit with someone new each week. I want to get to know people better and build relationships. I strongly feel that facebook, texting, and emailing have replaced authentic, genuine relationship building. I want to have people over to play, eat dinner, coffee, conversation, or just whatever. Or we/I will go and visit someone at their place. I simply want to lift people's spirits in the midst of the "hard" months.
For example, I have a 97 year old Grandma who is shut in pretty much all winter. How despressed do you think she is? So, she is a perfect example of someone we will visit a few times.
I share this with YOU because you may be someone we can visit with. :)

Do you want to come over? Let me know! :D
Hoping you all stay hopeful during these tough winter months in Indiana!
peace.
