I must begin this post by thanking my MOM for watching the girls for us on this perfect night. Last Saturday, my Mom offered to watch the kids so we could go out for a bit. But, after thinking about what we wanted to do (go out and get a glass of wine together), we thought -Why not just buy some wine at the store, build a fire, and stay home (and save $)! Wine is SO marked up! :)
Anyway, we just love our house and would rather stay here a lot of times, especially when there's a cozy fire involved.
We have found that staying home can be so much more fun - you can stay in your sweats, curl up under a blanket, and your bill is a lot less at the end of the night!
We put the baby down at 7:30 and the girls went to my Mom's for the night.
We put on a DVD concert, chatted and sometimes just sat - saying nothing at all - listening to the fire crackle.
It was a perfect night of conversation, a warm cozy fire, a little wine and just an overall great time of re-connecting.This is so important in a marriage - especially one that include 3 little kids! :)
I just love these times with Josh, and I'm so thankful for Grandmas who understand and support us during these years!
Love it! And when you drink the entire bottle of wine, you don't have to figure out who's going to drive home! :)

Another thought. I noticed on Derek's menu, that you can pay $16.00 for a glass of wine!! You can buy 2 bottles for that price for what you and Josh enjoy!! So I totally agree with you about buying a nice bottle of wine and going home!! XO Mom
