Well, as you know - Mother's Day is tomorrow!
So, I want to wish YOU ALL (who are mothers) a very wonderful day! This is - for sure - the hardest and most amazing thing God has ever called me to do.
And, I want to know...
What would make the perfect Mother's Day for you?
Please Share!
-running by myself.
ReplyDelete-not having to cook.
-a nap in the afternoon.
-no cleaning up...anything.
-snuggling with my husband while watching a chick flick at the end of the day.
Happy Mother's Day, Myah!
My perfect day would look something like:
ReplyDelete-sleeping in
-church/worship
-flowers/cards from the kids
-out to lunch with my Mom
-planting flowers
-manicure/pedicure and/or massage
-snuggling with Josh and then end of the day with a glass of wine.
Okay, this going to seem so unmotherly, but...Honestly my idea of a perfect evening is me spending the night in a hotel ALONE, getting takeout to eat in my hotel room while watching an overpriced movie. Ahh. Did I mention not being awoken at all during the night? AND sleeping in? wow. that'd be cool.

Jen,
ReplyDeleteDon't feel "unmotherly"! I think the perfect idea of a Mother's Day is a day that is WITHOUT my kids - in this particular season! :) Someday, I may want to spend it WITH them! :)
~SLEEP!
ReplyDelete~SLEEP!
~SLEEP!
Okay, I posted the sleep comment by itself just to be a little funny.... but that WOULD definitely be at the top of my list! I think my perfect day would also involve....
ReplyDelete~A fresh, hot vanilla chai
~Hugs and kisses from my honey and my kiddos
~A CD with my favorite worship music
~A foot massage
~A nap (hmm.... it really does always come back to sleep for me, eh? I must have a non-sleeping infant in the house!)
~A perfect, 70 degree day!
~Time to pull out my scrapbooks again! :)
Happy Mother's Day, Myah! Love you, friend!
