I wanted to take a moment to thank my Mom for taking 7 days of her vacation time to be with me after having Ian. Not only were you here to help me in any way, but you cooked meals for us, took bags of laundry home and brought it back washed and folded, cleaned our house, did my grocery shopping, shuttled the girls around for me, took the girls out for afternoon fun, and watched the kids so I could nap. The list goes on and on. You are an inspiration to me and such a great model of what I want to be to my kids. Words cannot describe how thankful we all are to have you in our lives. When I was experiencing my rough days, my Mom wrote this to me. I hope you don't mind me sharing it, Mom. :) It's worth sharing.
Your words comforted and encouraged me.
I am so lucky that God chose me to be your daughter.
I love you!

My,
After giving birth to each one of you kids, I experienced similar feelings that you are going through. You are exhilarated and exhausted at the same time. You have a beautiful family, but you are moody. You feel so blessed and then you start crying. I felt incredible emotions toward each one of you kids. I never imagined that I could feel such a range of emotions, from happiness and love, to fear and worry about being a good Mom. Having a baby brings such joys and challenges at the same time. Your hormone levels are dropping, your breasts are engorged and you are exhausted. Your new added responsibility with a 3rd beautiful and wonderful child is overwhelming, I am sure. The good thing about your emotional status is that it is temporary, and you will start feeling good again in anther week or so. Give yourself time and permission to take care of yourself. It's all a natural part of life. You have many friends and family members that are just waiting to help you out. God has richly blessed your life. You are so deserving, and you are the best Mom that I know.
I love you,
Mom
Aren't we blessed to have mothers in our lives that love us and care for us. What a path to follow in!
