I'm currently reading...

and it's good. I HIGHLY recommend it!

I read a lot, and I'm always reading something new. I love reading, and I guess I would consider it to be one of my hobbies.

Right now, I'm very involved in a book called Making Children Mind Without Losing Yours.

If fact, I've considered doing a book club through my blog - Something simple - just a discussion type thing - bouncing ideas off of each other. Would you be interested?

I've read this one cover to cover before, and now I'm rereading it again. If fact, when I'm finished - I plan to start at the beginning again! I may just keep reading it as long as I have children in the house. Really, I believe I will.

This one is at the top of my list of favorites in the "parenting" department. It's such a realistic, balanced approach to parenting, discipline, and raising up responsible children.

It's a christian based, reality discipline based, all around fabulous book.

He addresses just about EVERY issue we deal with in our household - which makes me feel SO GOOD. Because if someone writes a book about it, it's not just us going through it, right???!!!

If you are raising children, no matter what the age, I highly recommend this read. Even it you're not a christian - you'll appreciate the recommendation.

Have you read this one before? What do you think?

What are some other parenting books you would recommend to other parents?

  1. I've read parts of this book, and several others by the same author. He raised 5 children of his own, so he has plenty of experience. His birth order books are amazing - and if you ever get a chance to hear him in person, he's very entertaining, and has a great sense of humor.
