Back in the Fall, I noticed a gorgeous picture in a Pottery Barn catalog of a rustic farmhouse style dining room table and benches. So... I put it in my uncle's Christmas card and asked if he'd like to make it! He has done carpentry his whole life and I knew he'd do a beautiful job, so I was so pumped when he said yes. I will love to have such a special piece in my house made by my uncle that I will be able to pass down to my children.
He sent me these pictures from his phone - straight from the shop - one of the benches!
He's making us a rustic farmhouse style table made with white pine. The table is 3 feet wide, 6 feet long and 30 inches high. The benches are 14 inches wide, 66 inches long and 18 inches high.
I can't wait to get it!! :)

DeleteOh!!! That makes so much sense!! I thought it looked so long and skinny!! :D I panicked and asked him the measurements and measured my current table to make sure it wasn't too thin!! This is hilarious. Ok... I better change the title to "our new kitchen bench"!!
