After the ups and downs of any normal day, could there be anything sweeter than your child reading to a younger sibling?!
Sibling squabbles have subsided, baths are done, teeth and hair are brushed. Lovies are located and books have been selected. Mom and Dad are fading. Ian and Halle snuggle into Ian's bed - content at the moment. Halle offers to read - Ian accepts! Beautiful.
Halle is 6 at the moment, and she is reading to 3 year old Ian. Halle's reading is finally getting fast enough to hold her brother's attention for an extended period of time. You know - a reader's fluency and enthusiasm has to be to a certain point to hold anyone's attention. A 3 year old is an even tougher audience! How exciting that Halle is getting there! :)
And - is there anything sweeter than a child learning to read?!
